 Who are we? Step With Hope was
established by one woman, Laurie Johnson, who lost her family in a small plane crash. During her time of healing, she felt alone in her grief. She felt like no one could identify with the magnitude of that loss. Eventually, Laurie met someone like her who had lost their family, also. Through that relationship, she felt like it was important to create a network for others that struggled in their grief for multiple family members. Step With Hope was created to offer comfort, support and resources for survivors of profound loss.
What do we do?
Step With Hope exists to assist survivors of tragic circumstances which result in the loss of multiple family members. We strive to meet their needs through short term financial assistance, guidance to grief counseling and connection to community support. Your donations are encouraged and welcomed.
How can I help?
Step With Hope is currently gathering resources. If you would like to donate, please know that your donations are tax deductible. We strive to give $0.85 of every $1.00 donated directly to recipients of Step With Hope grants.

info@stepwithhope.org. or 1.800-681-2080. If you know of someone who needs our help, please encourage them to apply for a grant. If you personally have lost your family and would like to volunteer in creating a community contact, please let us know. We welcome your experience and resources.
What individual/families are eligible?
While determining quantifiable suffering is not the goal, applicants must have suffered the loss of more than one family member. The foundation is open to all applicants in terms of race, age, religion, and gender.
How will families/individuals be selected?
Recipients will be decided upon by the Step With Hope Board of Directors.
